Last month’s winner Monica Naclerio, comes from Italy and studies via our UK Campus of the Academy. You can see Monica’s Pinterest board here. I am lucky enough to be the judge of the monthly competition and part of last month’s prize was the opportunity to have an Inspiration Board featured here on the I Do Crew Blog and here it is. The theme of this challenge was ‘Swept Away’ and Monica describes her concept below.
Chagall Inspiration Board
“Newlyweds on the Eiffel Tower” by Marc Chagall is a very impactful painting, where the two lovers seem to be swept away – literally – by a wind of love. The palette consists of three fresh and spring tonalities: a bright yellow, a pastel blue and a vivid red, use sparingly. Everything has the flavor of the France, as imposed by the presence, in the artwork, of the famous French monument.
Delicate, romantic, carefree, youthful.
What I loved about Monica’s entry was the way she let herself be ‘swept away’ with the theme. Her inspiration board reflects a wedding design that is both contemporary and romantic vintage. Often we see this type of design in very muted neutral tones, but here we have colour and it works perfectly. This is a design I would love to see brought to life in an Autumn wedding.
Congratulations to Monica on such a fabulous entry and thank you for letting me share it with the readers of the I Do Crew Blog.
